The IKEA KALLAX 4×4 Shelf Unit is one of IKEA’s highest-volume products, a versatile storage and display solution that has achieved widespread adoption as a bookshelf, room divider, record storage unit, toy organizer, and display cabinet in millions of homes globally. The 16 individual square compartments in the standard 4×4 configuration accept IKEA’s full range of KALLAX compatible insert products including doors, drawers, and wicker baskets, as well as third-party organizer products designed for the KALLAX format. The 33cm x 33cm compartment dimensions accommodate standard LP vinyl records, paperback books in any orientation, and the majority of storage baskets and boxes designed for cube shelf formats. The furniture-board construction with foil laminate finish provides good durability for typical shelf use. The unit can be mounted horizontally as a room divider or vertically as a standard bookshelf. Wall-mounting hardware is included for added stability.
